Blood, Sweat and Tears
Contemplating death
Walking with one foot in life and one in death
Giving a perspective others don’t have
Then in meditation and training
Moving both feet into death
With just a little toe left in life
When you’re as familiar with death as life
You lose fear
You gain that broader perspective
Finding your immortality
You gain balance
Finding the line between yin and yang
The middle path, the Tao
The way of the warrior
Piercing the veil of illusion
Realising that what you were before you were born,
What you are when you’re dead
You still are now
Watching the theatre of life
Not happy or unhappy
But peaceful
Those that opt for an ‘easy life’
Missed the purpose of embodiment.
