The Kettle’s Always On

Sometimes I’m asked why I write about people that are troubled and depression and they think I’m writing about myself.

I’m a people watcher and an empath so I feel quite powerfully what others are feeling.

Sometimes it relates to my own experiences but not always. So my writings are not a cry for help, I’m simply pointing out the things that I feel others miss.

Today’s thought…..

Talking doesn’t always help
Sometimes you don’t share a burden
You double it
An empathic person
Asks how you are
And you unload on them
They now also carry that burden
They didn’t need that on top of the ones they already carry
Now they have you to worry about as well
You don’t feel any lighter
As you see their worries are now doubled
Their continuous concern
About your well being
Only makes you keep remembering your troubles
And constantly examining them with others
Can makes them worse
The door might always be open
And the kettle might always be on
And talking might help a lot of people
But not always
And not for everyone
If you need it
Sometimes it’s better to get professional help.
