Manipulating The Chakras With Tai Chi

Manipulating The Chakras With Tai Chi

What do the chakras do?

Root Chakra – is life and death, a very powerful primal energy driving sex and mortal fear.

Sacral Chakra – is instincts, that ‘gut feeling’ you need to learn to rely on.

Solar Plexus Chakra – is normal fear, anxiety and anger.

Heart Chakra – is patience, kindness, tolerance and compassion.

Throat Chakra – is expression, the ability to influence your environment.

Brow Chakra – the ‘third eye’ is insight and visionary.

Crown Chakra – is wisdom and spirituality.

They each have their own emotional colouring and vibration of our energy from ‘jing’ to ‘chi’ to ‘geng’ and finally ‘shen’ and describe the alchemy of our spiritual journey through life from the baser earth energies at the root to the more spiritual at the crown.

How we manipulate them in Tai Chi.

In neigong we connect and align them like ‘piling 7 golden coins’ or ‘threading 7 pearls’.

In qigong and form they are manipulated along with the spine, body core (deep front line) and vagus nerve with the 8 Core Skills making the energies intensify, catapult, move, merge, calm an stabilise with:

Soften
Connect
Open
Close
Stretch
Compress
Twist
Release

Intensifying our health and vigour, regulating and stabilising our emotional intelligence, giving added insight and wisdom.
