Less And Less Is Done

Explanation Of The Tao Te Ching Part Forty Eight

“In the pursuit of learning, every day something is acquired.
In the pursuit of Tao, every day something is dropped.

Less and less is done
Until non-action is achieved.
When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.

The world is ruled by letting things take their course.
It cannot be ruled by interfering.”

The profound teaching of the Tao and often the hardest for westerners to grasp.

Less is more. The continuous process of letting go mentally of extraneous thoughts, any excess tension physically, and the ability to prioritise in life to the extent that there is no wasted time or any resources.

The Tao is simplicity, it’s uncomplicating our life until we live in harmony with both nature and the Tao.
