Explore Your Darkness

Do you feel that if you surrender to your darkness that you won’t be able to find your way back?

Do you repress and try to ignore it? If you’re always trying to be happy instead, you’re not happy – and the lurking darkness is permeating your soul in a negative way.

We all know the ‘positivity’ people always trying to convince themselves and those around them that they are happy and positive but that veneer is thin and the tortured soul behind is obvious.

The darkness needs to be explored and understood as it’s the balancing factor to the light and only the balance between the two brings a natural peace and fulfilment.

You can’t have life without death. Health without sickness, order without chaos, light without dark and joy without tears. This is a truth. Understanding and accepting it, means that you don’t have to repress and try to ignore that which will bring fear and anxiety to you.

We need to be a master of both order and chaos, at home with both. Developing that essential soft front and strong back.

Turn the lights off, meditate in the dark, befriend your anxiety and fears, when you know the name of the devil, he can’t hurt you.

When they are balanced, when they are equal, you know that line down the middle of the yin/yang symbol? It’s perfect balance, a portal to the infinite, where your life is full of potential, where both sides of the spectrum are known and understood, there is nothing left to fear.
