Your Body Talks To You

Your body is constantly talking to you.

The problem is that if you only think and hear in words, you can’t hear it. It talks to in the same way that your dog, pet or baby does, you know what they want by their ‘body language’ and if your senses are only transmitting outwards, you can’t hear your own.

When you turn your senses inward in meditation or training and learn to feel your body from the inside, it talks to you. This is important for your physical, emotional and mental health. Normally we don’t listen until it shouts in an emergency, so hearing the subtle messages, means our self care capacity greatly increases.

It also becomes our martial arts teacher, when the mind is aware, focused, sensitive and intense and focused inward, our body will naturally tell us when it is unbalanced, has joint stiffness, collapses and protrusions that break its structure and energy flow and can also correct them.

This works extremely well when we are not thinking in words, the mind is suffused throughout the body and we have developed heightened insight and sensitivity. It’s a life long process.

As Bruce Lee said in ‘Enter The Dragon’ “Don’t think, feel.”
