How To Be Successful

Martial Art instructors have to learn to prioritise. If they’re in the Martial Arts their own personal development has to come first. I see club after club fail because the instructors don’t get this.

Their personal martial art standard is bad, their lack of coaching and interpersonal skills are bad, they go to the wrong people for advice, their social media posts and videos only show how bad they are, they continue to throw good money after bad in promotion without addressing the one fundamental issue that is as plain as the nose on their face. The problem is that they can’t see their own nose!

They are floundering and the more they do only makes it worse. Collecting certificates and social media ‘friends’ is meaningless, they’ll all BS the instructor if they are a part of their communal ‘jerk circle’ or they’re earning money from them, no one is going to be truthful and prospective students are laughing at them.

How can anyone know if it’s them? Because of their lack of success.

Success comes from within. Developing an internal locus of power. Working on a personal, long term, in depth standard within the chosen arts, earning the respect of already respected peers, developing personality, emotional intelligence and communication skills will all attract prospective students.

Success doesn’t come from just bringing students through the door, it comes from a long term relationship of respect, mutual study and development.

Because he keeps his customers with good service and develops a good supportive relationship.

For god’s sake, look inside first!
