The Simple Truth
Most truths are simple
But simple is not easy
Ignorance is to ignore
Students cannot see the simple truth
They listen and move on
They didn’t digest
They didn’t internalise
They didn’t let the truth ‘sit’ in their mind
It went in one ear
And out the other
Forgotten in an instant
Disregarded
They divert the conversation
To what they think is a problem
Not realising the teacher had just given them the answer
They read complicated books
Watch videos of people selling mystique
Buy their snake oil
Not realising the simple truth
What they’re looking for is already inside of them
It requires them to broaden their perspective
To be objective not subjective
If they change themselves
They change their world
The ego hides the truth
It deflects it
Leads students astray
Truth doesn’t come from people with titles and fancy clothes
It doesn’t come in psuedo intellectual language
It doesn’t come with ‘spiritual’
It comes dressed in rags
From simple people
In simple words
With simple truths
So simple
It’s easily missed.
