My Heavenly Dream

Woke up from a really vivid dream this morning where I was lost in Canterbury but it wasn’t the Canterbury I knew. All the buildings were huge and castle or cathedral like and bright heavenly white against a clear blue sky.

I was frustrated because I was lost and trying to find my way but at the same time in total awe of all these heavenly, beautiful ancient white buildings. I was in such a deep sleep it was ages before I could move after waking and it all felt really powerful staying with me all day.

I guess it describes my mind really well, feeling like I’m other worldly and in a beautiful place when in meditation, training or in the right state of mind whilst also feeling frustrated at being disabled and unable to do so much.

I love the way we accept our ‘mini death’ every night when we sleep and the weird things our mind makes up whilst we’re in that state. The best person to interpret our dreams is probably us because only we know what goes through our mind every day.

Putting on here to share and so it pops up in my memories each year.
